Reservations

We do not take reservations for the Taquería in St.Pauli. Walk-Ins only.

FOOD

Are your tortillas gluten-free?  Yes, our nixtamalized corn tortillas are 100% gluten-free.  They are also GMO-free. 

What allergens are in your food? Please check the online menus on our website for all allergens (click on the item to see the description, the allergens are listed at the bottom) 

Is your meat halal? No, we do not offer halal or kosher meat options.

Do you do caterings? No, we do not offer caterings. If you are interested in renting one of our shops for a private event, please send us an email with “Geschlossene Gesellschaft” as the subject and we will provide you with prices and conditions.

Our restaurants

What are your opening times? We are open from Tuesday to Sunday in the evenings.  We may close on special occasions (private parties, public holidays, or for technical reasons), so to be sure please check the Google profile for the restaurant, which we keep up to date.  

Do you allow bachelor parties in?  Yes. We allow anyone in, the only rule is to be friendly and respectful towards the staff at all times. Please keep in mind that on a busy night staff are there to serve all guests equally. We are a restaurant not a bar so please stay civilized and don't get too wild. 

Can I rent your shop for a private event?  Yes, you can.  We can cater to groups of up to 60 people.  Please send us an email with “Geschlossene Gesellschaft” to hola@mexikostrasse.com as the subject and we will send you more details including prices. 

Are dogs allowed? Yes. We love dog guests. Please keep them on a lead and respect the fact that not everyone loves our furry friends as much as we do. 

I forgot something in the shop, what do I do? The best thing is to go to the shop during opening hours and ask. If this is not possible, please send an e-mail to hola@mexikostrasse.com with details of the item and the date it was left.

In-restaurant payments

Can I pay by card? Yes.  We accept all credit, debit and EC cards, even American Express.

My card has been charged twice; can I get a refund? Yes. This may happen in rare cases when there is a connection error. If it happens, please send us an email to hola@mexikostrasse.com with the following details:

  • screenshot of double-payment

  • picture of Beleg or date and time of visit

  • Last 4 digits of the card used

  • Bank details for refund (Bank Name, Account holder, IBAN)

Then we will respond to you as soon as possible and apply the respective refund.

Delivery & Collection

For delivery and collection we offer DIY taco boxes, which are 4 of the same tacos per box.  Each box comes with 4 tortillas and the filling & garnishes separately.  You will need to assemble your own tacos at home. 

We do our utmost to make sure the tacos arrive to you nice and hot. It can happen however that by the time they reach you they might need to be re-heated. (The tortillas can be re-heated very quickly in a dry frying pan. The meat or veg filling can be zapped in the microwave or quickly heated in a pan with a drop of oil).

Can I order Delivery? Yes.  We use Wolt as our only delivery platform. 

Something is wrong with my delivery, what do I do? Please contact the delivery service directly and they will take care of it. 

Can I pre-order and collect? No we do not do pre-orders. You can come to the restaurant and ask for a take-away, we do however not do pre-orders anymore, as it can be difficult to accommodate all take-aways during rush hour.

Something is wrong with my take-away, what do I do? If you can go back to the restaurant, please do.  They will look after you there.  If you are unable to do that, and the request is not urgent, please send a message to hola@mexikostrasse.com with details.  We will reply as soon as we can but note that the e-mail address is not monitored 24/7 so we cannot reply immediately. 

Can I order via e-mail? No.   

Gutscheine | Gift Cards

Can I buy Gutscheine and how do they work? Yes, we sell Gutscheine. Everything is based on QR codes that must be presented & scanned in the shop when paying. Note that they can only be scanned in our stores and not used for online purchases. To buy a physical Gutschein that can be presented as a gift, please come to one of our shops during opening times and ask a member of staff.
